The story about Chase. Picture a 7 year old boy with a younger sister, a father in prison and a mother that left them, being dropped off at their step grandmother's doorstep, only to later become part of the Department of Family and Children Services.
Between the separation of his sister and the struggle of finding himself homeless, this young boy grew deeply hurt, disrupting all foster homes he frequented until the age of 14, when he found Goshen Valley. This was when his healing began. Through the safety and stability, love and purpose he received, Chase graduated high school in 2011 and is a sophomore at Reinhardt University.
As you know, a college education is expensive - even when two parents are funding it. Chase has overcome so much, and can use a helping hand. We are starting a scholarship fund that will allow Chase, to continue chasing his dream. Every penny counts!
Chase is in foster care leadership positions and helps other young men to remain strong and find their purpose while in foster care. He is always offering a helping hand, won't you?
We want to also let you know that as active Agents of Change we are committed to keeping our community members in good hands. Every 30-90 days we will elect a new worthy cause to support, and would love for you to join us! And if you know of someone who could use help, please visit the link below to enter their information.
